JERUSALEM, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Two bodies were recovered Monday from a residential building in Haifa that collapsed after an Iranian missile strike the day before, Israeli authorities said.
Rescue teams continue searching the rubble for two more missing residents.
The military said the multi-story building in the northern coastal city was destroyed by a direct hit Sunday. The missile was among the several fired toward northern and southern Israel that evening, setting off air raid sirens across the regions.
The attack came amid escalating violence in the Middle East following a joint U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran on Feb. 28. ■
