JERUSALEM, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Two more bodies were found at a site of an Iranian missile strike in the northern city of Haifa, the Israeli military said on Monday, bringing the total toll of the strike to four.
The victims had been trapped under the rubble of a multi-storey residential building that collapsed as a result of the strike on Sunday, the military said in a statement.
The Fire and Rescue Services announced earlier on Monday that they recovered two bodies, and searches are still ongoing to find the other missing people.
The developments came amid heightened regional tensions following joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran starting on Feb. 28, to which Iran and its regional allies responded with attacks on Israeli and U.S. interests across the Middle East. ■
