WASHINGTON, April 6 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that his administration has reviewed a proposal for a 45-day ceasefire in the Iran war, describing it as a "very significant step."
"It's a significant proposal, it's a significant step. It's not good enough, but it's a very significant step," Trump told reporters at the White House, noting that intermediaries "are negotiating now."
Meanwhile, Trump said that the Tuesday deadline he has set for Iran to make a deal is final. ■
