BAKU, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Azerbaijani junior rhythmic gymnast Azada Atakishiyeva claimed gold in the ribbon event at the AGF Trophy international tournament underway in Baku, Azerbaijan's capital, local media reported Sunday.
Atakishiyeva topped the podium in the ribbon apparatus final, adding to her silver medal in the ball event earlier in the competition.
In the senior group competition, the Azerbaijani team took silver, finishing behind Individual Neutral Athletes, while Kyrgyzstan placed third.
Held April 3-5 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, the AGF Trophy brought together rhythmic gymnasts from 15 countries and regions competing in hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon events. ■
