MANAMA, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain's Bapco Energies announced Sunday a drone attack targeting one of its storage facilities resulted in a tank fire, the Bahrain News Agency reported.
According to the report, the company stated that the fire caused by the Iranian attack on Sunday morning has been fully extinguished and that the situation is under control.
It added that damage is currently being assessed and confirmed that no injuries have been reported.
The company announced a force majeure on its operations on March 9 following an attack on its refinery, stressing that local demand would not be impacted and that all local market needs were fully secured.
According to the Bahrain Defence Force General Command, Bahrain has destroyed 188 ballistic missiles and 453 unmanned aerial vehicles since the onset of hostilities in the region on Feb. 28. ■
