RIO DE JANEIRO, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Chapecoense has parted ways with manager Gilmar Dal Pozzo after a poor run of results, the Brazilian Serie A side said on Friday.
The announcement followed a 4-0 home defeat to Atletico Mineiro on Thursday, a result that left Chapecoense 18th in the standings with one win from eight outings.
In a statement, Chapecoense said assistant coach Emerson Nunes and fitness coach Jaelson Ortiz had also departed.
Dal Pozzo oversaw 37 wins, 27 draws and 24 losses after taking charge of the club for a fourth time in August 2024. He also had spells as manager from 2012 to 2014, and in 2022 and 2023.
Chapecoense returned to Brazil's top flight after finishing third in last year's Serie B. ■
