URUMQI, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Jia Mingru scored 23 points to help the Shanxi Loongs cruise past the struggling Xinjiang Flying Tigers 102-86 in a 34th-round Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) matchup here on Saturday.

Having lost six of their last seven games, Xinjiang continued its poor run at home.

Elsewhere, Grant Riller's late layup gave the Beijing Royal Fighters a one-point lead over the Shenzhen Aviators, but Terquavion Smith answered with a mid-range shot to lift Shenzhen to a 104-103 victory.

The Guangdong Southern Tigers showed signs of resurgence. Despite losing center Jared Sullinger to injury in the first half, they took control at home behind Trevelin Queen's drives to defeat the Zhejiang Lions 100-80.

Jermaine Cole remains unavailable as his registration is still under review, and the Nanjing Monkey Kings edged their derby rivals, the Jiangsu Dragons, 99-96 at home.

In other games this round, the Fujiang Sturgeons defeated the Qingdao Eagles 102-92, the Jilin Northeast Tigers beat the Sichuan Blue Whales 104-84, the Shanghai Sharks topped the Tianjin Pioneers 102-92, the Beijing Ducks overcame the Guangzhou Loong Lions 97-89, the Ningbo Rockets smashed the Shandong Heroes 96-66, and the Zhejiang Golden Bulls prevailed against the Liaoning Flying Leopards 81-76.
