KABUL, April 4 (Xinhua) -- A 5.8-magnitude earthquake that struck northeastern Afghanistan earlier has killed at least eight people, Mohammad Yousuf Hammad, spokesperson for the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, said Friday.
According to Hammad, a house in Kabul province collapsed following the quake, killing eight residents and injuring a child. ■
