KIEV -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kiev has submitted a request for an Easter truce with Russia to the United States, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported Friday.

TEHRAN -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Friday its air defence systems had shot down a U.S. F-35 fighter jet in central Iranian airspace.

ISLAMABAD -- At least five civilians were killed and several others, including two police personnel, were injured in a blast near a police station in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday night, police said.
