KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia has concluded a successful run at the 114th China Food & Drinks Fair in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, securing 200 million ringgit (about 49.5 million U.S. dollars) in sales, the country's external trade agency said on Friday.
Throughout the three-day engagement held in late March, the Malaysia Pavilion was a focal point for business interactions, hosting over 60 targeted business meetings. These sessions connect exhibitors with high-profile buyers from across China, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) said in a statement.
"The showcase highlighted the diversity and premium quality of Malaysia's food and beverage sector, ranging from functional health beverages and tropical fruit-based snacks to authentic ready-to-eat sauces and bird's nest products," it said. ■
