The Nasdaq Composite Index opened at 21,472.52 points, down 368.43 points, or 1.69 percent.
IN EUROPE
The DAX Index opened at 22,935.23 points, down 363.66 points, or 1.56 percent.
The FTSE 100 Index opened at 10,366.34 points, up 1.55 points, or 0.01 percent.
