PHNOM PENH, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia exported 361,578 tons of milled rice to international markets in the first quarter of 2026, up 71.3 percent from 211,058 tons over the same period last year, said a report released by the Cambodia Rice Federation on Friday.
The Southeast Asian country made 207.5 million U.S. dollars in revenue from the exports of milled rice during the January-March period this year, up 29 percent from 160.5 million dollars over the same period last year, the report said.
Fifty-eight companies had shipped milled rice to 56 countries and regions during the above-mentioned period this year, the report said, adding that China remained the top buyer of the commodity.
According to the report, 60 percent of the exported rice was fragrant rice, 21 percent was broken rice, 16 percent was white rice, and the rest was other types of rice. ■
