MANILA, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were injured after a portion of the ceiling collapsed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in the Philippines' Metro Manila, around 10:43 a.m. Friday, local media reported.

The injured had been given medical assistance and remained in stable condition, said the airport's operator. Witnesses said the ceiling collapsed onto airport seats and an elderly person was among the injured.
