YANGON, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's manufacturing sector attracted over 220 million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment in the first 11 months of the fiscal year 2025-2026 ending on March 31, the state-owned daily The Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Thursday.
The Myanmar Investment Commission permitted 70 enterprises to invest in the manufacturing sector during the April 2025-February 2026 period, and Chinese companies were the primary investors in the sector, the report said, citing the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration. ■
