HANOI, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's science and technology sector recorded revenue of over 516 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 20.5 billion U.S. dollars) in March, up 17 percent year on year, the Vietnam News Agency reported Thursday.
The sector contributed 133.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 5.3 billion U.S. dollars) to the country's gross domestic product, marking a 28-percent year-on-year increase, according to the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said the ministry is reviewing and refining a list of strategic technologies and products this month to better identify priority areas and allocate resources more effectively.
In 2025, the sector generated revenue of more than 5.4 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 215 billion U.S. dollars), up 25 percent from the previous year, the ministry said. ■
