BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Xinjiang guard Wu Tongtong won the 2025-26 Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) Most Valuable Player award on Wednesday.

Wu averaged 17.4 points and 8.7 assists in 22 regular season games as Xinjiang sat fourth in the 12-team standings with a win-loss record of 14-8.

The 31-year-old led the vote among Team North players for this season's WCBA All-Star Game held in Xi'an in March and scored 24 points in the game.

Sichuan forward Natasha Howard was awarded the Best Overseas Player with an average of 19.9 points and 9.1 rebounds. Sichuan finished third in the regular season with a 17-5 record.

Hou Bing, who led Shandong to fifth place in the regular season to clinch a playoff spot, was named the Best Coach.

Also on Wednesday, Zhejiang forward Li Yuqian won the Rising Star award.
