NAIROBI -- At least 15 people died in a road accident involving a truck carrying logs and a minibus, locally known as matatu, in Nyeri County, central Kenya, on Saturday evening, police said.

Central Regional Traffic Enforcement Officer Elizabeth Vivi confirmed the incident on the Nyeri-Nyahururu road, saying that 10 people died on the spot while five others succumbed to injuries in the hospital. (Kenya-Road Accident)

KABUL -- At least 17 people have been killed and 26 others injured in rain-related accidents in Afghanistan during the last 24 hours, the National Disaster Management Authority announced on Sunday.
