ABU DHABI, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Five Indian nationals were injured after debris from a ballistic missile intercepted by air defenses fell near the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi on Saturday, said local authorities.
The Abu Dhabi media office earlier confirmed that emergency teams were responding to two fires near the economic zone caused by debris from the intercepted missile. The zone is the largest trade, logistics and industrial zone of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Emergency crews were deployed to contain the fires and ensure the safety of people and property, the office said in a statement. ■
