JINAN, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Xing Jialiang shattered his own Chinese national record in the men's shot put with a throw of 20.95 meters at the 2026 National Indoor Athletics Championships on Friday.
Xing improved his previous record of 20.44m set at last year's National Athletics Championships by 0.51 meters. The 24-year-old has emerged as a rising force in the discipline, securing a bronze in the men's shot put final with a throw of 19.99m at the 2026 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships held in February in Tianjin. ■
