MANILA, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' total external trade in goods increased by 10.7 percent in February 2026 to 18.34 billion U.S. dollars from 16.57 billion dollars in February 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Friday.

Of the total external trade in February 2026, the PSA said 60 percent were imported goods, while the remaining 40 percent were exported goods.

The agency said the balance of trade in goods in February 2026 amounted to a deficit of 3.68 billion dollars, 23.1 percent wider than the gap a year earlier.

The United States is the Philippines' top export market, contributing 1.41 billion dollars, or 19.3 percent of the total exports.
