TASHKENT, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Real estate transactions in Uzbekistan rose 15.8 percent on a yearly basis to reach 319,500 in 2025, the country's central bank has said.

According to the data, 89,700 property deals were recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025, up 24.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

The central bank said that the rise in market activity was primarily driven by the expansion of mortgage lending volumes and growth in household incomes.

Housing loans in Uzbekistan totalled around 1.7 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, an increase of 29 percent from 2024.

Besides, housing supply in Uzbekistan also expanded, with 15.9 million square meters of residential property completed in 2025, showing a year-on-year growth of 7.2 percent.
