TOKYO, March 26 (Xinhua) -- A stabbing incident occurred Thursday evening in a commercial complex in Tokyo's bustling Ikebukuro district, leaving two people unconscious, local media reported.
According to public broadcaster NHK, at around 7:20 p.m. local time, emergency services received a call reporting that a man armed with a knife was causing a disturbance at a shop selling gaming merchandise inside the complex.
A woman, believed to be a store employee in her 20s, was reportedly stabbed by the man and fell unconscious. The man, thought to be in his 20s to 30s, allegedly stabbed himself in the neck after attacking the woman, and was also unconscious.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details of the incident. ■
