HANOI, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's 16th National Assembly (NA) is set to finalize the country's key leadership positions at its first session next month, the Vietnam News Agency reported Thursday, citing NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
At a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday, Man said the session, scheduled for April 6-24, will see deputies review and approve top leadership positions, including the president, prime minister, NA chairperson and vice chairpersons, deputy prime ministers, cabinet members, members of the NA Standing Committee, and heads of the NA committees, according to the report.
He urged relevant sides to make preparations for the session, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations.
In his report at the meeting, NA Secretary General and Chairman of the NA Office Le Quang Manh said the first session will review and decide on organizational and personnel matters, as well as socio-economic, financial, budgetary and supervisory issues, among other key matters. ■
