BEIJING, March 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 1216 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 23.84 degrees north latitude and 45.82 degrees west longitude. ■
