KABUL, March 20 (Xinhua) -- At least six people, including a woman and four children, have been killed and two others injured following a traffic collision on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in Afghanistan, the official media Bakhtar news agency reported on Friday.
The incident occurred when a passenger vehicle collided with a cargo truck. According to the report, all killed were members of the same family.
Two individuals who sustained injuries in the accident have been transferred to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Road accidents are common on major highways in Afghanistan, often attributed to reckless driving, poor road conditions, and a lack of traffic regulation enforcement. ■
