ABU DHABI, March 15 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is continuing efforts to facilitate the return of stranded residents and visa holders amid regional travel disruptions, authorities said on Sunday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority said they are working to bring back around 500 Golden Visa holders and residents through air and land entry points.
Officials said the move is part of coordinated efforts to assist residents who were temporarily stranded abroad due to ongoing regional tensions sparked by U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran.
The country announced earlier the implementation of evacuation plans for UAE nationals abroad, with around 6,000 citizens and their companions safely returning to the UAE through various land and air entry points.
Authorities said the operations were carried out under the UAE's national emergency response system, involving coordination among government agencies and UAE diplomatic missions abroad. ■
