WINDHOEK, March 15 (Xinhua) -- A 29-year-old German tourist died on Saturday while visiting the Sesriem Canyon, a popular natural landmark in the Namib-Naukluft Park in the Hardap Region of central-western Namibia, according to a report released by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security here on Sunday.
The Namibian Police Force identified the deceased as Sven Thomas.
"It is alleged that the deceased complained of chest pain and went under a tree to rest, where he succumbed," the report said.
According to the report, the next of kin have been informed, and a police investigation is underway. ■
