HONG KONG, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng Index gained 289.93 points, or 1.14 percent, to close Monday's morning session at 25,755.53 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 1.28 percent to end at 8,782.62 points.
The Hang Seng Tech Index, which represents the 30 largest technology companies listed in Hong Kong, climbed 2.24 percent by midday. ■
