BEIJING, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Shandong Taishan erased its six-point disciplinary deduction after just two rounds of the 2026 Chinese Super League season, beating Beijing Guoan 2-1 at home in a highly anticipated clash on Saturday.

Shandong had started the campaign on minus six points but opened with a 3-0 win over Liaoning Tieren before securing a second straight victory to return to zero.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 49th minute when Cryzan slipped a clever pass into the path of Xie Wenneng, who fired home from a tight angle.

Beijing drew level in the 86th minute as Beni Nkololo delivered a low ball across the area and Zhang Yuning anticipated the defense to tap in from close range.

Shandong restored its lead two minutes later when Li Yuanyi's free kick found Cryzan, who powered in a twisting header to secure the win.

Henan FC, which also began the season with a six-point deduction, matched Shandong's recovery by extending its winning streak with a 2-1 victory over Yunnan Yukun on Sunday.

Wuhan Three Towns defeated Dalian Yingbo 4-1 with four different players on the scoresheet, while former Wuhan midfielder Nicolae Stanciu converted a penalty for the visitors.

Defending champion Shanghai Port bounced back from its opening-round defeat by beating Qingdao West Coast 4-1, with veteran striker Wu Lei coming off the bench to score twice.

Chengdu Rongcheng moved to the top of the table with six points after defeating Qingdao Hainiu 1-0, sealed by Romulo's spectacular inswinging corner that flew directly into the net.

Elsewhere, Zhejiang FC drew 1-1 with Shanghai Shenhua, Chongqing Tonglianglong edged Liaoning Tieren 1-0, and Shenzhen Peng City beat Tianjin Jinmen Tiger by the same score.
