PHNOM PENH, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia and Singapore have vowed to enhance bilateral cooperation across a wide spectrum ranging from political engagement to economic collaboration and people-to-people connectivity, said a Cambodian foreign ministry's press release on Thursday.
The commitment was made during a meeting between Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan during Sokhonn's official visit to Singapore on March 10 and 11, the press release said.
"Both sides recognized the broad potential for expanding trade and economic cooperation, particularly in areas such as food and energy security," the press release said.
The two ministers underscored the importance of leveraging the complementarities of the two economies to promote sustainable growth and shared prosperity, it added.
Both ministers reiterated their shared commitment to working closely to promote peace, security and stability in the region, the press release said. ■
