NEW DELHI, March 11 (Xinhua) -- An Air India Express flight carrying 132 passengers from Hyderabad to Thailand on Wednesday suffered damage to its nose landing gear while landing at Phuket airport, officials said
Following the incident, the airport was forced to close until evening.
Reports said the Air India Express flight IX 938, a Boeing 737 Max 8, departed from Hyderabad at 6:23 a.m. local time on Wednesday and upon reaching at 11:25 a.m. local time in Phuket airport made a hard landing.
There were no reports of any injuries to passengers or crew on the aircraft.
Following the incident, emergency response teams and airport authorities rushed to the scene to secure the area and ensure the safety of those on board. ■
