BANGKOK, March 11 (Xinhua) -- THAIFEX-HOREC Asia, a major international trade exhibition for the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) services, returned for its third edition here on Wednesday.
The exhibition brought together nearly 700 companies from 35 countries and regions, showcasing a comprehensive range of products, services, and innovations across the hospitality and food service value chain.
In his opening remarks, Thailand's caretaker Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said the trade fair aims to strengthen supply chain connectivity, expand market opportunities, and reinforce the Southeast Asian nation's role as a trusted partner in regional and global commerce.
The Thai government remains committed to supporting entrepreneurs in maintaining their competitiveness and resilience in an increasingly complex global economy through trade promotion, capacity building, market diversification, and economic partnerships, he said.
The annual event, running until March 13, featured exhibition zones and engaging activities designed to create an international platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and buyers to connect, exchange knowledge, forge business opportunities, and drive the future of the HoReCa industry.
The Thai government projects that the exhibition this year will attract over 20,000 visitors, buyers, and business professionals worldwide, generating more than 3.5 billion baht (about 110.36 million U.S. dollars) in trade value. ■
