PHNOM PENH, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Retail oil prices in Cambodia continue to rise sharply due to the escalation of the Middle East conflict, the Ministry of Commerce said late on Tuesday.

In an announcement, the ministry said a liter of regular gasoline will cost 5,200 riels (1.3 U.S. dollars) from Wednesday to Friday, up 18 percent from Sunday.

Diesel will go for 6,050 riels (1.51 dollars) per liter, up 17.4 percent, the announcement added.

Minister of Mines and Energy Keo Ratanak said on Sunday that the kingdom's oil reserves can last for 21 days.
