JERUSALEM, March 9 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli military said on Monday it struck Iran's internal security sites and missile launchers across the country.
In a statement, the military said its warplanes targeted missile launch sites and command centers of the internal security forces and Basij volunteer force affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and deepened damage to military infrastructure.
Infrastructure targeted in the strikes included a rocket engine production facility, several long-range ballistic missile launch sites, headquarters of the Iranian government's regional corps, Iran's internal security forces command center in Isfahan and an additional base used by the IRGC and the Basij.
On Feb. 28, Israel and the United States launched joint attacks on Tehran and several other Iranian cities. Iran responded through missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. bases in the region. ■
