BEIRUT, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Two Israeli airstrikes hit the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon on Sunday afternoon, causing casualties, local media reported.
Established in 1948, Ain al-Hilweh is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon and is home to an estimated 80,000 to more than 100,000 residents in an area of about 1.5 square kilometres. ■
