TOKYO, March. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 struck off the coast of Iwate Prefecture, northeastern Japan, on Sunday, the country's weather agency said.
The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers at 10:17 p.m. local time, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. ■
