DUBAI, March 7 (Xinhua) -- UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said on Saturday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) prioritizes the security and protection of all citizens, residents and visitors and is fully prepared to confront current threats.
In a post on social media platform X, Sheikh Mohamed expressed thanked the UAE Armed Forces, security services and national institutions for their efforts to safeguard the country.
"They represent the highest standards of readiness and cooperation. We are truly proud of them," he wrote.
Sheikh Mohamed also praised the sense of responsibility shown by Emirati citizens and residents, noting that people from all backgrounds have demonstrated their support for the country.
Also on Saturday, local media reported that the president, while visiting five people injured in recent incidents at a hospital, said the country is "not an easy target" and will emerge stronger from the ongoing conflict.
On Feb. 28, joint U.S.-Israel strikes hit Tehran and other Iranian cities. Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. bases, including in the UAE. ■
