BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 jolted 181 km SE of Kirakira, Solomon Islands at 1427 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 11.70 degrees south latitude and 163.01 degrees east longitude. ■
