BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted Fiji Islands Region at 2156 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 589.6 km, was initially determined to be at 21.97 degrees south latitude and 179.47 degrees west longitude. ■
