DOHA, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Qatar's Ministry of Interior announced early Thursday that authorities are evacuating residents living near the U.S. Embassy in Doha as a temporary precautionary measure.
In a statement, the ministry said that the evacuation is conducted "in the framework of maintaining public safety."
The ministry added that suitable accommodation has been arranged for the affected residents. ■
