LIMA, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Peru has consolidated a sustained economic recovery in recent years by strengthening confidence and promoting projects that provide real opportunities, President of the Council of Ministers Denisse Miralles said Tuesday.
"These advances are not a coincidence. They are the result of firm decisions and a clear commitment to stability," said Miralles during the opening of the 188th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) in Lima.
She highlighted the positive and supportive role that CAF has played to reinforce infrastructure and advance toward a more inclusive social development.
Miralles affirmed the Peruvian government's commitment to democratic governance, an essential condition for development and a basis for political stability and public and private investment.
She said Peru presents itself to the region with institutional responsibility and the conviction that Latin American countries can transform challenges into opportunities as long as they are united. ■
