RIO DE JANEIRO, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Fluminense has completed the signing of Argentine striker Rodrigo Castillo from Lanus, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old agreed to a contract that runs until 2030 in a deal reportedly worth 10 million U.S. dollars.
"I am very proud to be joining such a big club. I have high expectations for what is ahead and I am very happy to be here," Castillo said in a statement published on Fluminense's official website.
Castillo made 33 appearances for Lanus and scored 14 goals after joining the club from Gimnasia La Plata last July.
He is expected to make his debut for Fluminense in its away clash against Remo in Brazil's Serie A on March 12. ■
