HONG KONG, March 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted the Fiji Islands region at 05:44:42 GMT on Sunday, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences.
The epicenter, with a depth of 589.9 km, was initially determined to be at 21.79 degrees south latitude and 179.37 degrees west longitude. ■
