For years, Hansen Nico Rene from Luxembourg has been working side by side with villagers in rural China, serving as a volunteer "foreign assistant."
He's witnessed how Zhadong Village in China's Guangxi rose above the poverty line, and how rural revitalization gained momentum.
Rene says it's the people in the rural region that he treasures most, calling the Chinese countryside the best place he's ever been.
