RIYADH, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) announced on Saturday the cancellation of a number of its flights due to regional developments and the closure of certain airspaces.
In a statement, the airline said the decision was taken as part of continuous monitoring by its Emergency Coordination Center in coordination with relevant authorities.
Saudia urged travelers to verify the status of their flights before heading to the airport, noting that additional information would be released in subsequent statements when it is available.
Meanwhile, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh issued an advisory urging passengers traveling to destinations affected by the current developments to contact their respective airlines directly to confirm the latest updates before proceeding to the airport. ■
