Riyadh, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia has announced a financial package worth 1.3 billion Saudi riyals (about 347 million U.S. dollars) to help Yemen reduce its budget deficit.
The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen posted the announcement on social platform X, saying that the financial support is intended to help Yemen reduce its budget deficit, ensure regular government financial flows, help pay salaries, and improve fiscal policy management.
In January, the Program announced a development investment package for Yemen worth 1.9 billion Saudi riyals (about 507 million dollars), comprising 28 initiatives and projects across several key sectors, including energy, education, and transportation. ■
