ALMATY, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Su-30SM fighter jet crashed in central Kazakhstan on Wednesday during a scheduled training flight, the country's defense ministry said in a statement.
The aircraft went down in the Karaganda Region. Both pilots, who ejected on time, are under medical supervision, with no life-threatening injuries, the statement said.
The crash site has been cordoned off, and authorities said there is no danger to the public or nearby infrastructure, it added.
A special commission led by the head of the flight safety department has been set up to determine the cause of the incident. ■
