BEIJING, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- "China vigorously promotes development cooperation, leveraging platforms such as high-quality Belt and Road cooperation to work with partner countries to alleviate poverty, create jobs, and improve living standards," said a Xinhua think tank report released on Tuesday.
Over more than a decade of Belt and Road cooperation, nearly one trillion U.S. dollars in investment has been mobilized, at least 500,000 jobs have been created in partner countries, and the initiative has become a "road to poverty reduction" and a "road to happiness," said the report titled "Upholding International Justice and Jointly Addressing World Turbulence -- Focusing on China's Solution to Global Governance," released by Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with Xinhua News Agency.
Through promoting the cultivation of rice, Juncao grass, fruits, and livestock farming in partner countries, and by establishing Luban Workshop programs, China has helped train high-caliber technical and skilled personnel, the report said. ■
