NEW DELHI, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Six members of a family, including five children, were killed and one suffered burns after a fire broke out inside their residential building in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, police said Tuesday.
The fire broke out on Monday night in a three-storey residential building at Lisari Gate of Meerut district, about 488 km northwest of Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.
The exact cause of the fire is being investigated. ■
