AMMAN -- The United States has recently deployed a large number of fighter jets and transport aircraft to Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, marking a noticeable increase compared with the base's usual level of deployment, local media reported Saturday.

RAMALLAH/JERUSALEM -- The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced Sunday the death of a Palestinian teenager who succumbed to injuries sustained after being shot by the Israeli army in the northern West Bank.

GAZA/ADEN -- Palestinian factions and Yemen's internationally recognized government on Sunday condemned remarks by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee that Israeli has right to claim control over the entire Middle East.
In a press statement, the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces, which includes the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Islamic Jihad Movement, said it strongly condemns Huckabee's remarks, which "represent the height of religious extremism and pose a real threat to security and stability in the region."
